Advanced Sensing and Positioning for Micro-Mobility Platforms

What if advanced sensing and 3D location technologies could be used to give the customer a better experience in finding and parking their rented e-scooter or bike? What if those same on-board technologies could also give the non-riding public a better experience by coaching and rewarding riders to operate within evolving municipal requirements and acceptable social norms?

With a remote team of subject experts distributed across the country, these questions and more were ones we sought solutions for with the Toro integration on the JUMP scooter platform.

In less than 1 year, we designed, prototyped, and scaled for a city fleet launch of 300 units. In true start-up fashion, this went beyond design and engineering to include city, state, and international government presentations, communication and data management, facility and site coordination, and team organization.
